Michael Bradley Ensured the USMNT Posted a Dos a Cero Lead Over Mexico by Halftime
By Mike Cardillo
Michael Bradley and the rest of the U.S. National Team put together a nice little 45 minutes of soccer Wednesday night in the first half of their friendly with Mexico. The Toronto FC midfielder scored the game-opening goal and then set up Chris Wondolowski to make it 2-0 by halftime, aka Dos a Cero.
The goal off the set piece — look at the bend on the ball by Graham Zusi — was nice, but the flick header by Bradley, like the Cross of Coronado, belongs in a museum. Perfect.
For 45 minutes, at least, the MLS-based roster looked cohesive and organized, dominating El Tri in nearly every aspect of the match.
