German Soccer Fans Threaten Hannover 96 With a Dead Sheep

Bundesliga club Hannover 96 arrived at their training ground to find a dead sheep in their club colors, with a message telling them they would suffocate on Sunday. The club faces a derby match and relegation six-pointer with rival Eintracht Braunschweig this weekend. The message, via our German speaking twitter followers, says “On Sunday, you pigs will suffocate.”

The British site Sport Witness, after initially reporting it was Hamburg SV, suggested it was Hannover fans threatening their own club. That report was disputed by the club’s official twitter account.
