The Twins beat the Indians 7-3, giving manager Ron Gardenhire his 1000th career win. The 56-year-old has also run up an impressive tally of 67 ejections after 12 full seasons as a manager, which third-baseman Trevor Plouffe noted with this awesome t-shirt.

Via Baseball Almanac, Gardenhire still needs to be thrown out of 31 games to catch AL record-holder Earl Weaver. He needs 65 more to catch MLB record-holder Bobby Cox at 132. His present 5.58 ejections/season clip thus far bests both Weaver (5.44) and Cox (4.4).
