Buck Showalter Compares Poor Bullpen Management to Dry Humping

Buck Showalter appeared on The Dan Patrick Show today. Showalter said that he could tell if a manager was on top of things based how he manages his bullpen. He colorfully compared pitchers unnecessary warming up “dry humps,” which is a wonderful way to look at it. This comment comes the day after Showalter’s bullpen coach, Dom Chiti, was hit in the head with an errant baseball. For his next segment, Showalter will explain the importance of wearing protection in the bullpen.
