Police Officer Trips Students Celebrating Texas High School Soccer Championship, is Placed on Leave

An officer on the Georgetown (Texas) Police Department was placed on administrative leave on Monday after video surfaced of him blatantly tripping students during a girls soccer state championship celebration. Officer George Bermudez was allegedly caught tripping and pushing students who ran onto the field at Georgetown High, which is located in Austin, during postgame celebrations.

Safe guess, the officer in question will be among the many Americans who won’t watch the World Cup this summer. Either that or he’s a soccer super fan obsessed with Paul Scholes tackling technique.

Jokes aside, not a smart move here.
