Matt Harvey Marked Six-Month Anniversary of Tommy John Surgery with Middle Finger, Quickly Deleted Tweet [UPDATE]

Matt Harvey noted the six-month anniversary of his Tommy John surgery posting this fun photo on Twitter Tuesday morning. He wrote, “I can’t believe it’s been 6 months already. #tommyjohn”. The tweet and photo contained within it lasted about 30 minutes before the Mets pitcher deleted it, of course that doesn’t scrub the image off the Internet completely.

We can only assume that middle finger is directed, simultaneously, at the “media” and or the “haters.” Regardless of the intended target, it’s a strange way to mark your progress, isn’t it?

Never forget, Matt Harvey loves the camera and the camera loves him right back.

UPDATE: It looks like Harvey went ahead and deleted his account entirely.
