The Miami Heat staged a late comeback to beat and eliminate the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night. Now the Nets head home and the Heat head to their fourth straight Eastern Conference Finals. Before Game 5, with a 3-1 series lead, Erik Spoelstra bravely faced the media. Coach Spo walked in the room, took the podium, said “Hi,” and was greeted with silence. After a few seconds and no questions, Spoelstra stood up, gave the media a double-thumbs up and exited. He would have dropped the mic, but he never had a reason to pick it up.
Kevin Garnett, who follows NBA media rules only when mood strikes him, did not speak to reporters in Nets locker room.

Presumably, Kevin Garnett heard about Spoelstra’s presser.
