CNN made a pretty cool profile of Dave Millican, the rural Alabama resident who makes the title belts for WWE. Millican estimates that he produces about 60-70 belts per year, additionally fulfilling orders for smaller wrestling and MMA outlets, as well as various international collectors. He says that he always gets squeamish when he sees his recently-made creations get used as weapons in the ring on TV, but then realizes that any destruction of the belts is a boon for his refurbishment business.
