Serge Ibaka's Girlfriend Keri Hilson: "I needed to do anything I could to put a smile on his face"

Serge Ibaka returned to the lineup for the Oklahoma City Thunder just in time to maybe save the season. Ibaka scored 15 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 4 blocks in his first game of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday night. Ibaka was injured during the Thunder’s series-clinching win over the Los Angeles Clippers on May 15th and was thought to be lost for the season. Luckily, his girlfriend, singer Keri Hilson was there to save the day. Via USA Today:

"“Even though he didn’t say it, I knew he needed me. I needed to do anything I could to put a smile on his face. He didn’t have a smile on his face all week. It was very hard. It was really hard. He’s one of the most dedicated people I’ve ever seen in any field, one of the most dedicated people I’ve ever been able to witness. (Rachina*) was as much his nurse as I was. She cooks. I do the TLC and cook a little bit. We had to be there for him.”"
