Alex Smith did an interview with NFL.com recently. At the end, the Chiefs quarterback was asked to reveal something about coach Andy Reid. “He’s a big cheeseburger guy,” Smith said. “He’s always treating us to cheeseburgers. [All you have to do to earn one] is be on the team.”

Not exactly an astonishing revelation there. Beyond one’s natural discernment upon seeing Reid that he’s a big cheeseburger guy, the veteran coach has previously remarked that he could hide them in his Tommy Bahamas shirts, had a longstanding ‘Fast Food Friday’ policy in Philadelphia (which was cruelly stripped from the Eagles by Chip Kelly), and once proclaimed “Cheeseburgers for everyone!” after a big victory.

Cheeseburgers: The cornerstone of any nutritious football team.
