Sometimes big-time sporting events — and sports in general — live up to the hype. The Brazilian National Team belting out the Hino Nacional Brasileiro inside Arena de São Paulo before the kickoff of the first game of the 2014 World Cup against Croatia was one of those moments. Specifically it was one of those moments that — temporarily — make us stop being so cynical, at least for about 95 seconds or so.
The good vibes barely lasted 10 minutes, as Croatia took a shock lead on a Marcelo own-goal.
