Kansas City Royals Haven't Lost Since "Don't Stop Believing" Became Official 6th Inning Song

Royals are no longer in low places

The Kansas City Royals have been in some low places over the last two decades. They have also featured Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places” as the song during the sixth inning, since 2008. That’s a lot of games with whiskey drowning and beer chasing.

Well, you can start believing, Royals fans, because Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” won a bracket contest to replace Garth Brooks. The final round vote occurred on June 7th, a Royals win. Kansas City has not lost since that game, either, and improbably has shot to the top of the AL Central. (I was at the semifinal victory over “Livin’ on a Prayer”, so you’re welcome.)

Coincidence? I think not. Especially after they just took out (South) Detroit by destroying Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer.
