Julio Grondona, president of the Argentina Football association, referred to Diego Maradona as a “bad luck charm” that was excised before the 2014 World Cup. Maradona responded on television, with the following scathing comment.

"“I want to tell Grondona, who said that, that what I have, I earned working. What he has was bought by FIFA.”"

The Argentine legend followed that rebuke with a gesture that needs no translation.
