With the 4th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, the Orlando Magic selected Aaron Gordon. The Magic were hosting a Draft party at the Amway Center and posted this video on Vine following the pick to let everyone know how excited their fans were about the selection.

Now, here is the full crowd reaction that someone posted on YouTube:
Yeah, those sound more like boos than cheers. You could describe that as a “mixed reaction” at best. This wasn’t Philly fans booing Donovan McNabb, but it also wasn’t Blake Bortles making Jacksonville feel happy feelings for the first time in a decade.
Now, in their defense, anything less than the announcement of a trade bringing one of the top 3 picks or an All-Star to Orlando would probably have been met with a mixed reaction. There were a consensus three top players in this draft and then a bunch of guys who everyone has differing opinions on. We will probably have to wait a while to see if Magic fans say “I booed the Aaron Gordon pick when it happened,” with pride or shame in their voices.
