Thomas Müller "Tripped," as Germany's Attempt at Soccer Fumblerooski Failed Spectacularly
By Mike Cardillo
Thomas Müller missed a pair of close-range changes late in Germany’s Round of 16 with Algeria. With the game still scoreless Germany reverted to some kind of Fumblerooski type play on a free kick, having Müller intentionally fall over in the run up to the kick.
Nope.
It did not work and the game went into extra time 0-0. The 85th minute of a World Cup knockout round match hardly seems the ideal time to try something like that out.
