Miami Hurricanes: Alex Figueroa and JaWand Blue Dismissed After Sexual Battery Arrest

The Miami Hurricanes have dismissed linebackers Alex Figueroa and JaWand Blue from the football program, after the two were arrested and charged with sexual battery of a 17-year-old student who was “physically helpless to resist.”
"A police report said in the early morning hours of July 5, Blue and Figueroa brought the intoxicated victim, a UM student, to a dorm room at the school’s Pearson Hall building. The report said Blue and Figueroa then had oral, vaginal and anal sex with the victim, who was “physically helpless to resist.”"
Both players admitted guilt.
Figueroa, described as “one of the brightest young talents” on the Miami defense, was a projected starter.
