Tiger Woods Odds to Win the British Open are 15-1, His Longest at a Major in Forever

Tiger Woods is a 15-1 shot to win the British Open this weekend at Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Merseyside, England, the longest odds he’s faced at a major in over a decade. Woods was 10:1 last year and finished tied for 6th place.

Woods was the 2013 PGA Golfer of the Year – despite not winning a major – but he’s stumbled so far in 2014, mostly due to back surgery. At 38, it’s increasingly looking like Tiger won’t catch the Jack Nicklaus mark of 18 majors won, something that sounded insane five years ago, when he was dominating the tour. Tiger’s been stuck on 14 Majors since 2008. It’s been six years and a month since he won one (US Open at Torrey Pines).

How irrelevant has Tiger been in 2014? The biggest Tiger Woods-related stories have been about his girlfriend, skier Lindsey Vonn, and his ex-wife (the one he cheated on with boatloads of randoms and waitresses and porn stars in Vegas) Elin Nordegren.

Here are the rest of the British Open odds, courtesy of Golf Odds:

Rory McIlroy 12/1
Adam Scott 12/1
Tiger Woods 15/1
Martin Kaymer 20/1
Henrik Stenson 15/1
Phil Mickelson 25/1

Justin Rose 12/1
Jordan Spieth 30/1
Sergio Garcia 20/1

Matt Kuchar 30/1
Dustin Johnson 30/1
Bubba Watson 40/1
Rickie Fowler 30/1
Brandt Snedeker 60/1

Ian Poulter 50/1
Jason Dufner 60/1
Charl Schwartzel 60/1
Louis Oosthuizen 60/1

I’ll take a benjamin on Mickelson, Fowler and Westwood.
