Stephen A. Smith Apologized For Not Being Articulate Enough For You To Grasp His Point About Women Provoking Domestic Violence
By Ty Duffy
Stephen A. Smith has had himself a Friday. Michelle Beadle alerted everyone to the First Take host’s abhorrent comment that women should avoid actions that “provoke” domestic violence. He apologized…that people misunderstood his point…that men should never hit women but women still bear responsibility to avoid provoking a man to hit them? If we have that right?
Smith’s “apology” came in a stream of tweets shown below. This may have been an opportune time for Smith to lay low and to consult with his friendly Bristol PR operative. Or, at the very least, put down the phone and compose a response in a medium with greater gravitas, such as Twitlonger.
