While most of the vitriol around Native American imagery in American sports is directed at the Washington Redskins, the Cleveland Indians have been doing their best to distance themselves from their old Chief Wahoo logo. These t-shirts featuring a Caucasian parody of Chief Wahoo first got attention back in June when a Canadian musician wore one. Since then the shirts have become more popular with people living on reservations, ironic types and people who don’t totally understand the issues at hand.
