BYU isn’t big on drinking. Or trademark infringement. That’s why Brigham Young scrapped plans to use the slogan, “RISE AS ONE,” during the upcoming football season. After t-shirts were printed, someone pointed out to BYU that “RISE AS ONE,” was used earlier this year by Budweiser during the 2014 World Cup. Turns out no matter what your stance on alcohol, generic slogans are universally appealing. BYU will now head back to the drawing board which contains possible football slogans, “Great taste… less filling” and “our football team is as cool as Ice Cube.”
