Marlins Pitcher Dan Jennings Carted Off Field Following Vicious Liner to the Head
By Mike Cardillo

Dan Jennings, a pitcher on the Miami Marlins, was involved in a scary incident during Thursday night’s game with the Pirates when he took a liner to the head off the bat of Jordy Mercer. Jennings initially tried to stand up, but immediately went back down the ground. He didn’t lose consciousness and was carted off the field while seated upright.
The Marlins haven’t updated Jennings’ condition yet tonight.
#Marlins Dan Jennings has been taken to a local area hospital where he will undergo further evaluation.

MLB allowed pitchers to use new protective caps this season, but as of yet few players have worn them in games.
