Marshawn Lynch is being investigated for assault by Bellevue, Wa. police, SeattlePi.com reports:

"Bellevue police officers are investigating Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch after receiving an “allegation of an assault and personal property damage” at a Bellevue apartment, according to a news release from the department. According to police, the alleged incident was reported to have occurred early Sunday morning, but “no domestic violence or sexual assault was involved in the allegation.” Bellevue police have assigned the case to a detective and it is under investigation."

The police department said in a statement that they are in the process of verifying whether the Seahawks running back is the alleged suspect. No arrests have been made yet.

If — and again, details are very preliminary — Lynch is arrested and convicted, he would be a repeat offender of the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy; he was suspended for three games at the start of the 2009 season when he was a member of the Bills after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor weapons charge. He also pled guilty to reckless driving this past February after being charged with DUI in July 2012.
