Le’Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ top two running backs, were arrested today in Pennsylvania. Both players – along with a female passenger – are expected to be charged with possession of marijuana, while Bell will be charged with driving under the influence. Via PFT:
A motorcycle officer smelled marijuana smoke coming from the car and pulled it over. Police found a baggy containing about 20 grams of marijuana in the car.
This is why it is a bad idea to handcuff your running backs. A single arrest by committee can leave you with an empty backfield. The Steelers play the Eagles tomorrow night on NFL Network.
