Arjen Robben Rolled Out the Welcome Wagon to His Newest Bayern Munich Teammate

Arjen Robben’s long-stranding reputation as soccer’s top solo artist likely isn’t going to change following this quote attributed to the Dutch winger on Friday. Earlier in the week Bayern Munich, Robben’s club team, signed Morocco international Mehdi Benatia from Roma to bolster its defense. Despite being rated the top center back in Italy’s Serie A in 2013-14 and costing Bayern around $35 million, Robben apparently didn’t know anything about his new teammate:

Well, at least we can applaud Robben’s honesty. As we know there are almost too many leagues and teams to keep straight in world soccer. The odds of Robben completing a pass to Benatia, however, grew all the more infinitesimal.
