Bill Murray Takes Tickets, Catches Final First Pitch at Stadium Where He Threw the First Pitch 22 Years Ago

Bill Murray threw out the first pitch for the Saint Paul Saints inaugural season at Midway Stadium in 1993. On Thursday, Murray caught the final first pitch in the stadium’s history (KARE11 has video). Murray, a co-owner (he wore a Saints hat in Space Jam), also took tickets at the front gate. While the team became known for tailgating, cheap beer and quirky entertainment, the team will move into a new (partially) taxpayer funded downtown stadium next season.
