Vanderbilt were penalized for their “Anchor Down” jerseys Thursday night in what will probably stand as one of the craziest penalties of the season. Like a tardy student, Vandy got the penalty rescinded with a note – an email the staff had to chase down. The empty ploy for team solidarity ultimately proved irrelevant, as the Commodores committed seven turnovers while being obliterated 37-7 at home by Temple. Guessing this game won’t be replayed on the SEC Network.
