Tom Brady Laughs, Gives No Comment When Asked if He Saw Wes Welker Take Something at Kentucky Derby
Tom Brady got asked about the Wes Welker drug suspension at his press conference today, and didn’t have much to say about it. “That’s Wes’s situation and their team,” said Brady. “Obviously I’ve got plenty to worry about with this week and this team, and as a friend you always hope the best, but this is not friend time. This is opponent time. My focus is on the Dolphins.”
Then a reporter asked the Patriots quarterback if he saw Welker take anything at the Kentucky Derby (where the former teammates were photographed together), and Brady laughed and gave no comment. Welker, who denied Molly use (and even knowledge of the drug) on Tuesday night, would probably wish for Brady to have his back there.
The Broncos and Patriots play each other on November 2nd (Week 8) in New England.
