DeMarcus Cousins went from the brink of being cut in favor of Mason Plumlee, to the first big man off the bench for Team USA in the World Cup of Basketball. Today Boogie was asked by an unidentified European reporter if he knew where Team USA’s quarterfinal opponent, Slovenia, is located. Cousins, responded by asking if the reporter knew where his home state of Alabama is. It was the perfect comeback for a smarmy geography question like that which is designed only to illustrate how ignorant Americans are. For reference, Alabama’s population (4.822 million) is twice as big as Slovenia’s (2.058 million). U-S-A! U-S-A! #CousinsForAmerica
