Antonio Gates just hauled in his 3rd TD catch of the game, and man was it beautiful. This full-extension, diving, TD catch on 3rd down put the Chargers up 27-13 on defending champion Seattle in the 95-degree San Diego heat. It’s late in the third quarter, but Philip Rivers is carving up the Seattle secondary, which did lose safety Earl Thomas early in the second half.

Also, Rivers knows how to celebrate:

The Chargers were 6-point home underdogs.
