Sean Maguire's Parents Impressed with Jameis Winston, Use the Phrase "Class Act"

Jameis Winston, the Florida State QB who was suspended for last weekend’s game against Clemson, finally did a good thing!

The troubled star has been at the center of a rape investigation, walked out of a grocery store without paying for crab legs and most recently shouted, “Fuck her right in the pussy” in the middle of campus (hence the suspension). He’s almost exclusively generated negative headlines in the last year, but perhaps his most recent incident will wake him up?

Via Natalie Pierre of the Tallahassee Democrat, the parents of backup QB Sean Maguire – who played QB for the Seminoles in the win over Clemson – spoke glowingly about Winston:

It’s anybody’s guess as to what kind of guy Winston really is. Nobody knows.

Is he the entitled, arrogant kid who just doesn’t get it? Or is he maybe closer to being an immature kid with good intentions, as Maguire’s parents claim?

As it gets closer to the 2015 NFL draft, and teams begin to investigate Winston, everyone is curious what they will find. (And of course, there’s no guarantee they’ll uncover everything, because NFL teams miss, too.) When you’re making a multi-million dollar investment in someone, you definitely don’t want the person Winston has been off-the-field over the last two years.
