Derek Jeter Nearly Brought to Tears During Final Postgame Interview in New York
Derek Jeter finally cracked. Jeter recieved his millionth career standing ovation after his final game at [new] Yankee Stadium. Jeter hit a walk-off game-winner in his final at-bat in New York. It was a storybook ending (minus the postseason) worthy of someone who has been (no snark) such a big part of Major League Baseball for the last two decades. The coverage and the farewell tour have been over the top, but this was a nice moment and you can understand why Jeter might have felt just a tad bit emotional.
