Niles Paul, Washington’s tight end, took a brutal helmet-to-helmet shot from New York’s Will Demps near halftime of Thursday night football and was instantly knocked out. After catching a pass over the middle, Paul lowered his head and braced for impact from three defenders and took a lethal shot. After the hit, his body froze and he dropped the ball upon hitting the ground.

Paul probably won’t remember the play tomorrow, and he’s been ruled out for the game. He was immediately taken to the locker room.
