Contestants on Jimmy Kimmel Gameshow Didn't Have a Clue Who Yasiel Puig Was

Jimmy Kimmel and Cousin Sal ran a gameshow called “Generation Gap,” in which a 69-year-old woman went up against a 16-year-old girl to see who knows more about each other’s generational pop culture. As became clear around the 6:15-mark, neither of them would know Yasiel Puig if he were standing right in front of them.

Not that this was a representative sample or MLB’s key demographic, but perhaps the most recognizable player in the game now that Derek Jeter’s retired went unidentified. (FWIW, the older woman knew who Tommy Lasorda was right before Puig walked out.)

The important question, as always: Would he have to give his name at Starbucks?
