Five NFL Picks Against the Spread: Seven Home Underdogs Ready to Roar?

Picking five NFL games against the spread each week is terribly difficult. For the season, I’m 14-11 after a 3-2 week (darn Russell Wilson!); CineSport’s Noah Coslov went 2-3 and he’s at 9-16.

In the Hilton SuperContest, I’m seven games behind the leader, but it would have been six if Russell Wilson doesn’t make that incredible play at the end of the Seahawks/Redskins game and Washington. The leader had Seattle; I had Washington. Such is life.

This week’s slate is a unique one: Five games have spreads of three points; three games have spreads of 3.5. There are eight home underdogs. What you can look for in this video: Me mostly going underdogs. Also, me talking about some of these great trends from Oddsshark.

One thing that keeps me up at night in this contest: Can you survive each week picking underdogs going against great QBs? The Dolphins and Bills will be popular home underdogs, but you’re going against Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. If you want to hold your nose and play the Jets and Raiders, you’ll pull your hair out Saturday watching Peyton Manning and Philip Rivers carve them up.

Watch. Mock.
