Logan Routt is a 6-foot-11 high school football player from Cameron, West Va. We’ve certainly seen tall high school players before, but never at the most important position on the field: quarterback.

MaxPreps has more on Routt, writing he could be the tallest person to every play quarterback at the high school level. Oddly enough his top receiving target is just 5-foot-5. For what it’s worth, Ed “Too Tall” Jones was a mere 6-foot-9. Former Seattle Seahawks first round pick Dan McGwire is recognized as the tallest quarterback in NFL history, standing 6-foot-8.

The highlight reel for Routt, who weighs only 220 pounds, is a sight to behold. It’s not every day you see a near 7-footer scampering around on the gridiron and it almost looks like an optical illusion of some kind. Of course at only 6-foot-11, Routt would still be dwarfed by Yao Ming. [via Max Preps]
