Mississippi State Title Odds: Handful of Gamblers Have the Bulldogs at 175-1

Mississippi State is currently ranked #1 in both the AP and USA TODAY college football polls. Current Vegas odds have the undefeated Bulldogs somewhere around 5-1 and 7-1 to win the BCS National Championship. Some fans and heady gamblers were lucky/smart/dumb enough to get in on Mississippi State before the season started. Via ESPN:

"“We took 29 tickets on them at 175-1,” MGM vice president of race and sports Jay Rood said. “Small bets, average size is about 25 bucks.”"

So, that would be a lot of money for some people. Meanwhile, Florida State won and their odds dropped (increased?) from 4-1 to 5-1. Of course, that might have to do with JameisGate Autographston. Either way, make sure to gamble legally.
