Travis Ishikawa Walk Off Home Run Sends the Giants to the World Series
By Jason Lisk
It will be the San Francisco Giants versus the Kansas City Royals in the 2014 World Series, in a showdown of the two teams to advance from the Wild Card game. San Francisco did it, again, in improbable fashion. This time by getting home runs, something they had not done the entire post season.
Travis Ishikawa, who had only two home runs in the regular season in limited action, but has been playing left field for most of the playoffs, provided the final piece to a postseason surge that has involved contributions from just about everyone.
At the rate the Giants and Royals are going, you should expect just about anything–as long as it involves late inning drama.
