Kansas State Beat Oklahoma After Kicker Michael Hunnicutt Shanked a 19-Yard Field Goal
By Kyle Koster
Kansas State knocked off Oklahoma, 31-30, thanks large in part to an errant 19-yard field goal attempt by Sooners kicker Michael Hunnicutt with 3:53 remaining. The senior, who was on the preseason All-Big 12 team, has been reliable throughout his career, making today’s mistakes even more confounding.
In addition to his late chip shot miss, Hunnicutt failed to convert a 36-yarder and an extra point.
