Kirk Cousins Benched for Colt McCoy, Who Immediately Throws Touchdown to Pierre Garcon
By Jason Lisk
Kirk Cousins–remember when he was the future for Washington and Robert Griffin had reason to worry?–has been benched just after halftime as the Titans had a 10-6 lead. Cousins’ numbers weren’t awful (10 for 16 for 139 yards and 1 interception).
Colt McCoy immediately came on and threw a pass to Pierre Garcon, that Garcon turned into a 70 yard touchdown. Hey, the offensive situation is pretty good in Washington for the quarterback, with DeSean, Pierre, and some good tight ends and backs.
Before the season, I wrote this. I’m not surprised that despite the preseason praise Cousins has not exactly turned out to be the next Kurt Warner.
