Kelvin Benjamin Made a Great 51 Yard Catch Leaping Between Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas
By Jason Lisk
Throwing into double coverage when the defenders are Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas? Usually not a great idea. However, rookie Kelvin Benjamin was able to use his superior size to out leap both of them in traffic for a huge 51 yard gain that set up the field goal to take the lead. Just before that, Cam Newton had somehow escaped a sack in the end zone that would have resulted in a safety, and a Seattle lead.
