Tony Allen Slapped a Camera and Cameraman After Getting Called For a Foul

Tony Allen is one of the most passionate players in the NBA, but his enthusiasm may have got him in trouble Monday night in Memphis. The tenacious defender was upset he was called for a foul, turned around, and slapped a cameraman who was courtside. Allen obviously wasn’t intending to slap the guy – but why would he want to slap a camera, anyway? – but his lack of sympathy after the hit is mildly troubling. Maybe he was so “in the zone” that he didn’t realize it.

It’s unclear from multiple replays if Allen slapped the cameraman’s hand and the camera, or just the guy, or just the camera. The cameraman’s hand is over top of the lens, and his reaction in the video could be from having his eye pressed against the camera.
