The Boston Celtics are inexperienced and bad. The Toronto Raptors are one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics hung with the Raptors for nearly 47 and a half minutes on Wednesday. Then Kyle Lowry knocked away a Marcus Smart crossover like he was a high schooler and DeMar DeRozan dunked on Kelly Olynyk who was only doing the right thing by hustling back on defense. The Raps won 110-107.

This is not the kind of game-losing sequence that helps a young team gain confidence. This is the kind of sequence that makes Brad Stevens rock back-and-forth in a dimly-lit room while holding old pictures of himself with Gordon Hayward.
