Ozzie Newsome testified in the Ray Rice appeal hearing today. According to ESPN’s Don Van Natta, the Ravens general manager said he was present at Rice’s June 16th disciplinary hearing and that the running back told Roger Goodell he’d struck his then-fiancee in the elevator. There was also this:

It’s undeniable that the Ravens organization had some egregious missteps along the way in this case. But, given Newsome’s alleged testimony, and the fact that the Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti has been publicly candid while Goodell stammered unconvincingly through a press conference, it’s hard to believe as an outsider that the NFL is being truthful and Newsome is lying.

Rice’s appeal will be ruled on by Judge Barbara Jones, and it’s not presently known when she will announce whether Rice’s indefinite suspension should be lifted.
