Notre Dame Scored on Northwestern Fumble Then Had PAT Blocked and Returned

Notre Dame safety Austin Collinsworth picked up a fumble after corner Cody Riggs stripped Northwestern receiver Cameron Dickerson and returned it for a touchdown. The play was reviewed and stood as a touchdown, but on the ensuing PAT Northwestern blocked the kick and Nick VanHoose returned it for a 2-point conversion. Notre Dame has since scored on a Tarean Folston run and is up 20 to 9 at the end of the first quarter.
