Andy Staples of Sports Illustrated is reporting that Will Muschamp has been dismissed at Florida, following yesterday’s overtime loss to South Carolina (and former old ball coach Steve Spurrier).

Brett McMurphy of ESPN is reporting that Muschamp will finish the season at Florida, coaching the final two games, but confirms that Muschamp will not be back next year. He phrases it as “stepping down.” No word on what would happen for the potential bowl game. This happens after another loss in frustrating fashion, but before the 5-4 Gators close with rival Florida State and a chance to knock them out of the playoff (after a game against Eastern Kentucky).
