Michigan DE Frank Clark was arrested on domestic violence charges on Saturday in Ohio. The alleged details obtained by the Sandusky Register are more than a bit disturbing.

A hotel guest called the front desk saying it “sounded like a head was being bounced off the wall” and a child had run from the room screaming “Frank is killing our sister.”

Clark, a senior, was already on a second chance at Michigan, after pleading guilty to stealing a laptop from another student’s dorm room in 2012. He led the Wolverines with 13.5 tackles for loss this season and had been projected to be an NFL draft pick.

If Michigan wants to make a clean break with the Brandon era and to promote the integrity of its athletic department, especially in the wake of the Brendan Gibbons fiasco, making Clark a transparent “one-day story” by removing him from the team would be the place to start.

[UPDATE, 11:10 am: Michigan just announced that Clark has been dismissed from the program.]
