To be fair, Myers is right to criticize Boger for some of the decisions in Sunday’s game. In particular, the review of a play that was reversed to rule that Arizona downed the ball at the 1 (after Justin Bethel pushed it back into play before falling into the end zone, only to have Detroit’s Jeremy Ross pick it up and return it) was controversial.

For what it’s worth, why do they not blow the whistle until the ball is touched down by another coverage player (and then spot it at the point where it is touched again) if Bethel had sufficient possession to end the play?

Anyway, Myers criticism of Boger went beyond just one game. Later, after discussing specific plays, he also referred to Boger as one “who consistently gets it wrong.” Can’t wait until he calls a game refereed by Jeff Triplette.
