The Buffalo Bills home game against the New York Jets will not be played in Buffalo, as just announced on the NFL Network. According to Ian Rapoport, the league is considering Detroit or Washington as the site for the game, and the game will most likely be moved to Monday (and played in addition to the regularly scheduled Monday night game between Baltimore and New Orleans) to accommodate the location change. The league expects to announce the site by noon on Friday.

[UPDATE: James Brown of CBS just announced that the game is moved to 7 PM Eastern in Detroit, and will be broadcast on CBS in local markets]

With this announcement, it joins a list of games that have been impacted by weather conditions, either forcing a change of venue from the home team’s original stadium, a change in the day that the game was played, or both.

Here is a summary of prior weather-related venue changes and/or postponements.
