Nick Young: "I leave a presence when I walk off. I'm like Michael Jackson and Prince"

Nick Young returns and the Lakers are 2-0 after starting the season 1-9. Two games is not a huge sample size, but we’re about one or two more wins away from everybody deciding at once to refer to the opposite of Bill Simmons’ Ewing Theory as the Swaggy P Corollary. Young and Jordan Hill got interviewed in the locker room after last night’s victory in Houston, and there were some highlights:

  • Young’s open: “It’s all about my swag. That’s a part of my repertoire. I’m talking about how I just walk off. I leave a presence when I walk off. I’m like Michael Jackson, Prince, all them other guys.”
  • The reporter asks a question, and neither Young nor Hill can answer because they keep interrupting each other.
  • Is it a coincidence that the Lakers have won two straight with Swaggy back in the line-up? “I can’t take all of the credit. I can take some of it.”

After that the interviewed skewed relatively straight. We’re less than a week away from Kobe getting fed up with Young’s antics, undressing him in the huddle (which kinda already happened the other night against the Hawks), and tomahawking a pass off the back of his head when he’s not looking.
