Arkansas Rolling Over Ole Miss After 100 Yard Pick Six [UPDATE]
By Jason Lisk
Goodbye, Ole Miss. Any outside chance that the Rebels had of making the playoff has dissolved at Arkansas. Bo Wallace threw an interception that was returned 100 yards for a touchdown, making it 27-0 Razorbacks. This marks the second straight week that Arkansas is shutting out a ranked opponent at home, and the Hogs will be bowl eligible, and potentially in position to knock Missouri out of the SEC championship game next week (depending on what happens at Tennessee tonight).
This is a reminder that Arkansas is some better close game performances against top teams from being right in the middle of the national championship picture. They lost a game against Texas A&M in overtime where they blew a lead, lost by a point to #1 Alabama, and by a touchdown to #4 Mississippi State. As it is, they’ll have to settle for being the team no one wants to face right now.
UPDATE: Ole Miss backup quarterback DeVante Kincade didn’t help the Rebels out much with this fumble that was recovered by Arkansas on the 1 yard line and led to a field goal.
